Description

The YP 701 will extract the maximum from your records with the minimum fuss.

The big 30cm aluminium diecast platter is driven by a high torque motor and precision balanced for lower wow and flutter, and the entire super smooth mechanism and speed change is controlled by two feather-touch controls.

No signal is passed until after the stylus is actually on the record, so there is none of that thud as the needle is lowered.

The tonearm, in fact, is lowered automatically on starting and is returned to rest at the end of the record.

The arm and turntable are also sprung quite separately from the motor, and the Double Float Suspension insulates against vibration or motor noise.

The tonearm is an S-shaped design for lower tracking error and can be adjusted in three ways to ensure its ultra stable performance.

The main counterweight is continuously variable (and there are two sub-weights to allow for any cartridge); anti-skating force can be matched to tracking pressure and there is even a lateral balance weight to assure perfect left/right balance.

Add to this the silicon damped cueing lever and a headshell with a sliding mount for overhang adjustment and you have a tonearm system that will deal with any cartridge and truly match the 701 performance.
