WIDE DISPERSION LOUDSPEAKER ENCLOSURE

The TXD-520 is a two-way, full range, professional loudspeaker enclosure. It has been designed for use in primary and secondary sound-reinforce-ment applications which require high level, high quality sound, evenly dispersed over a wide area.

Its dispersion characteristics coupled with an ability to reproduce program material with a wide dynamic-range at high acoustic outputs, makes it applicable for a wide and diverse range of sound-reinforcement situations.

The TXD-520 incorporates custom made, high-efficiency transducers designed to give maximum acoustic output for a given electrical input, which consequently affords greater transient ability and damping. It is this degree of product engineering which is a characteristic of Turbosound loud-speaker enclosures.

This high efficiency (96dB at 1W/1m) enclosure is the result of meticulous study of transducer/enclosure behaviour and has com-pelled Turbosound to deviate from conventional enclosure design procedures. The result of this study is a loudspeaker enclosure which produces a controlled, cohesive, natural sound which is cor-rectly phase and amplitude aligned. This elimi-nates the need for compensating electronics to match or correct for component disparities.

The TXD-520 incorporates a passive third-order hi-pass network utilizing high-voltage polypro-polene capacitors and low-loss air-cored inductors.

Installation of the TXD-520 is simplified by the availability of a universal system of mounting hard-ware which allows the enclosures to be attached to walls, ceilings or decks.

The TXD Series comprises a range of five com-plementry enclosures. Each one is designed to ad-dress a variety of sound-reinforcement applications and has the ability to reproduce a natural sound at very high levels without distortion.
