This comes from one of Sansui’s earliest solid-state series — the iconic three-digit lineup, ranging from the AU-222 to the AU-999.

Following their tube era, these amplifiers are often described as having a “tube-like” sound — warm, rich, and incredibly musical.

You can absolutely enjoy it as a standalone integrated amplifier at first.

But it also opens the door to something more , using it as a preamp paired with a power amp of your choice, while preserving that wide, open soundstage and the beautiful tonal character Sansui is known for.
