Made in Japan 🇯🇵
Designed by the legendary Bart Locanthi, former JBL chief engineer, the HPM-100 was Pioneer’s direct answer to the iconic JBL L100.
A legendary 4-way loudspeaker featuring a 12-inch woofer, dedicated midrange, tweeter, and Pioneer’s famous HPM (High Polymer Molecular) super tweeter, using an ultra-light polymer diaphragm instead of a conventional dome. This innovative driver extended the high frequencies well beyond the limits of human hearing and became one of the HPM-100’s signature features.
Compared to the JBL L100, the HPM-100 is physically larger and offers deeper bass extension, higher power handling, and a more refined, balanced presentation while maintaining the lively, dynamic sound that made both speakers famous.
A true icon of the golden age of Japanese hi-fi, combining impressive dynamics, exceptional efficiency, and rock-solid build quality
