A rather uncommon 3-way JBL, built around some very serious components.

At the bottom is a massive 14” LE14-series high-excursion woofer, using a natural-pulp cone and rubber surround. Its heavy die-cast aluminum frame was engineered to remain rigid during high-excursion movement.

From 900Hz, JBL’s 175Nd-1 compression driver feeds a large Bi-Radial horn — unmistakable JBL horn-loaded architecture.

Above it sits the UT-405 titanium super tweeter, using a slit-type horn reminiscent of JBL’s legendary 2405 slot tweeter.

And then there’s the cabinet. Despite its relatively compact dimensions, each speaker weighs nearly 100 lb, topped with a removable slab of natural Greek marble.
