A very popular turntable model from the 70s and 80s.  Super sturdy with high reading accuracy.

In perfect working order. Timeless look.

Sturdy and reliable. Thick platform for strobe lights.

The button finish (play/stop) is lacking, but it still works perfectly.

Description

The Technics SL-5200 features a high performance circuit and full-cycle detection FG for quartz phase-locked control of integral structure superior in rotational characteristics.

The Double-TNRC vibration damping construction is a newly developed material high in damping and superior in attenuation characteristics.

A low-mass gimbal bearing tonearm is used, with an arm friction of 7mg and muting circuit.

Equipped with a stylus illuminator, the SL5200 facilitates selection of music even in a dark place.

For greater convenience, the tonearm is raised and lowered gently be a viscous damped cueing lever and returns to the armrest automatically.
