    JBL Pro 4641

The JBL Pro 4641 subwoofer is a passive model, equipped with a 18-inch (46 cm) driver in a bass-reflex enclosure. Designed for larger home theaters and those seeking a truly immersive experience, this subwoofer requires an external power amplifier to be used with any home theater receiver . It is THX certified and can be paired with any home theater or in-wall speaker.

JBL Pro 4641: a cinema subwoofer

The JBL Pro 4641 subwoofer is used in many commercial cinemas, where it is frequently used in pairs. This subwoofer is suitable for a listening room of 30 to 100 m² and is ideally placed behind an acoustically transparent projection screen, thanks to its depth of only 45 cm.

    JBL Pro 4641: Home speaker

The JBL Pro 4641 is equipped with a 46 cm (18") woofer, specifically developed by JBL to reproduce very low frequencies. Its preferred frequency range precisely matches the Dolby or DTS specifications for the low-frequency channel of multichannel audio tracks, from 20 Hz to 150 Hz.

JBL Pro 4641: Dreamy max SPL

The JBL Pro 4641 subwoofer boasts a sensitivity of 97 dB for 1 W at 1 m, measured at 100 Hz. This exceptionally high value is due to the very powerful moving assembly of the JBL 2241H driver. With a power handling capacity of 1200 watts for music or home theater use, the maximum sound pressure level (SPL max) can reach 125 dB at 1 m. In short, it delivers a truly thrilling experience.

JBL Pro 4641: Low dynamic compression

Thanks to its high sensitivity and efficient voice coil cooling (Vented Gap Cooling), the JBL Pro 4641 subwoofer offers exceptional dynamic range, even at very high volumes. The bass-reflex enclosure is tuned to 25 Hz, and the subwoofer responds down to 35 Hz with only 3 dB of attenuation. To linearize its response down to 20 Hz, the use of a power amplifier with active equalization can be considered.
